Theory lessons take place in modern and well-equipped classrooms in City Centre and Kristiine. In addition to theory lessons, all students also have the option to study in e-school environment.
Our English speaking teachers have lived abroad in an English-speaking country for 15 years and have an excellent grasp of spoken and written English, and have no problem understanding a variety of accents and cultural aspects.
Driving lessons will be conducted in modern and comfortable training cars, and you will be able to choose between manual or automatic transmission. Driving lessons will take place in City Centre, Mustamäe, Õismäe and Nõmme areas, which will allow the students to practice driving in all sorts of situations and gain experience in navigating more complex traffic. Atlanta driving school’s main advantage is its youthful and friendly staff. All our teachers are calm and experienced, which creates a friendly and informal study environment. Most of our teachers also have higher education degrees in varying fields of study. Studying with Atlanta driving school is convenient, calm, friendly and with solid results.
Atlanta Driving School OÜ training permit number is 7280HTM, which has been issued by Ministry of Education and Research. Services
B-category drivers’ course (car)
This course must be passed to successfully take the ARK exams. Minimum lessons needed are 27 theory lessons (45 min each) and 27 driving lessons (45 min each) which will take place according to national study plan. Course runs for seven weeks. After successfully passing the school exams, the student will be issued a graduation certificate, which is needed to register for ARK exams. Theory lessons take place once a week, 09.00-12.00 for morning group and 18.00-21.00 for evening group. Saturday group times are subject to change.
Initial stage night time training
To get a B/B1-category driver’s license, you must pass night time training as part of your initial training. If youre taking initial stage training during a time when there is no dark times (summer), then night time training must be completed on the first opportunity after completing initial stage training or before final stage training. Night time training consists of one theory lesson and one driving lesson.
Initial stage slippery track hazard prevention training
To get a B/B1-category driver’s license, you must pass slippery track hazard prevention training as part of your initial training. The purpose of this training is to increase awareness of the importance of driving the car at appropriate speeds according to road and weather conditions and to keep proper distance from other vehicles when driving. The training consists of two theory lessons and one driving lesson.
Final stage training (slippery track training in order to get a permanent license)
The purpose of final stage training is to make sure the student knows and understands how to drive safely without taking risks, how to take into consideration other users of the road and how to drive in way that’s environment-friendly. If you have a primary license, you must pass this training in order to exchange your license for a permanent one. If you have a limited license (still studying without having passed exams), you must first obtain a primary license before you can take this course. Theory lessons for this training must take place in person, not online, and the theory lesson must take place as a practicum. Training consists of one hour of theory and one hour of driving. When taking the final stage training, you must have on your person your study card and primary license or ID. This course can be taken with student’s own car, if previously agreed upon with the instructor.
First aid training
As part of initial stage training to obtain a driver’s license, students must pass a first aid training course. First aid training lasts for 16 hours, one third of which will be practical study.
Additional driving lessons
If a student has not acquired the necessary knowledge and skills during the mandatory 27 driving lessons, they can take additional lessons. We also offer this service to those who already have a license, but haven’t been able to practice driving independently for whatever reason. You can choose the car, the instructor and a time that suits you.

If you have any questions about studies, exams, obtaining or restoring a license, or traffic regulations, you can come for a consultation. Consultations are free for driving school students.
A-category (motorcycle)
A2-category limitations
Power limitation of 24KW or power-to-weight ratio of 0.16 KW/kg. Motorcycle used for practice and exams must be 15-25 KW.
When applying for a license, you must be at least 18 years old. You can begin your studies at 17.5 years old. You do not need to have a primary or permanent license. In order to obtain this license, you must pass the course and ARK’s theory and driving exam. Driving exam consists of two parts. First part will be conducted on the training grounds. Second part will be conducted on roads in and out of the city. If you already have an A1-category license, you do not have to take the course, you only need to pass second part of the exam.
A-category
Power over 25 KW or power-to-weight ratio over 0.16 KW/kg. Motorcycle used for practice and exams must be at least 35 KW. Since ARK in Tallinn does not have a motorcycle, you must use your own or the driving school’s motorcycle to take the exam. When applying for this license, you must already have a license of any category (permanent, not primary) and be at least 21 years old. In order to obtain this license, you must pass the course and ARK’s theory and driving exam. Driving exam consists of two parts. First part will be conducted on the training grounds. Second part will be conducted on roads in and out of the city. If you already have an A1 or A2 category license, you do not have to take the course, you only need to pass second part of the exam.
Driving school regulations
STUDIES
Studies will take place according to the national study guide for B-category drivers. B-category drivers’ studies are divided into initial stage and final stage training. Initial stage training allows drivers to receive a primary (limited) B-category driver’s license.
INITIAL STAGE STUDIES
Initial stage studies comprise of 27 academic hours (45 min) of theory lessons, which take place generally once a week in the evenings, and at least 27 academic hours of driving lessons. Theory and driving lessons take place by turns. Before you begin your driving lessons, you will receive a study card from the school, on which the instructor will mark the dates and number of driving lessons taken. The study card will be your „license” allowing you to drive with a instructor during your lessons. If you lose the study card, you must apply for a duplicate, which costs 10€. If you do not achieve the required driving skills during the mandatory 27 driving lessons, it’s possible to take additional lessons. If you cannot make it to a lesson, you must notify your instructor before 17.00 on the previous day. If you fail to do so, you will be required to pay for missed lessons.
SCHOOL EXAMS
– To complete the course, you must take a school theory and driving exam. Before taking these exams, you must complete a 16 hour first aid training.
After presenting the first aid course certificate to the school, you will be allowed to take the school exams. To pass the theory exam, you must answer 60 questions, with only 6 mistakes allowed. After the theory exam, you will be issued a exam card with theory exam results. After successfully passing the driving exam, the results will be marked on the same exam card. Theory exam results are valid for 6 months.
After taking all the lessons and passing the school exams, the student must take „Initial stage night time driving” training, which consists of 45 min of theory and 45 min of driving on special training grounds. After this the student must take „Initial stage slippery track hazard prevention” training, which consists of 2×45 min theory and 45 min driving on special training grounds. Only after passing these will you be issued a driving school graduation certificate, which will allow you to register for ARK theory exam.
After completing your studies, please bring your exam card and study card to the school. When picking up your certificate, please bring your first aid training certificate.
You will be issued your graduation certificate based on your study card, exam card and certificates of additional required training.

“Best price discount” (theory 162.5€ or other discount) is valid for 2 years (starting from day of first theory lesson) for students, who pass Atlanta Driving School study course in full. Otherwise, full price will apply (180€). You have 2 years to pass the full course.
ADDITIONAL COSTS
– School exams are free, if taken according to study plan (except 1st price package), repeat exam need to be paid for:
Repeat theory exam – 10 €
Repeat driving exam – 22.5 €
Repeat theory exam can be taken on Mondays between 12.00-16.00.
